Justice Ginsburg reveals details of death threat!
Did you know, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed in a speech in South Africa last month (February) that “she and Justice Sandra Day O’Connor were threatened a year ago by someone who called on the internet for the immediate “patriotic” killing of the justices.
The article went on to state that security concerns among judges have been growing. Conservative commentator Ann Coulter ‘joked’ earlier this year that Justice John Paul Stevens should be poisoned. I wonder if you or I or Kilroy had made such a statement would we have been arrested.
O’Connor said she had been the target of “irrational fringe” of society, “people apparently spurred by the Republican criticism of the high court”.

It has been reported by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales this week, “that three-quarters of the nation’s 2,200 federal judges have asked for government-paid home security systems”.
According to Ginsburg, someone in a Web site chat room wrote: “Okay commandoes, here is your first patriotic assignment….an easy one. Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg and O’Connor have publicly stated that they use {foreign} laws and rulings to rule on American cases. This is a huge threat to our Republic and Constitutional freedom….If you are what you say you are, and NOT armchair patriots, then these two justices will not live another week”.
The above statement is terrible, I for one would not make such a statement, but someone did! I wonder why Ginsburg did not make the above remarks in the United States. Why did she have to go to South Africa, and why didn’t we hear O’Connor make mention to her being the target of some ‘irrational fringe’ when she retired.
It seems that they (the justices) do worry about such happenings!
Write to your local newspapers and ask them why this vital information, the threats on the lives of the United States Supreme Court Justices was not reported? Maybe we can get Kilroy to find out what is happening!
